Champion Launches Suite Retreat National Promotion
Feature-filled spa bath is at cutting edge of home design and lifestyle trend

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 15, 2006
Champion today announced the launch of its newest national promotion, the Suite Retreat. The feature-filled master bath, available in select Champion family of homebuilder models for a special promotional price, will be distributed through its Champion Home Center (CHC) retailer network.

?Following on the huge success of our Ultimate Kitchen promotion, which addressed the newest trends in kitchen design, we have created a master bath promotion that combines cutting edge home design with a growing lifestyle trend,? said Grover Tarlton, vice president of marketing for Champion Enterprises. ?With our busy, hectic lifestyles, the need for a place to relax, unwind and literally ?escape,' is for many, no longer a luxury, but a requirement. The optional Suite Retreat provides ?that place' with a luxurious, spacious, well-appointed, spa-like master bath, right in the customer's own home.?

?We're pampering ourselves at home more and viewing our home as our sanctuary and refuge,? said Susanne Perelman, regional interior designer for Champion. ?The spa-like bath is a huge new trend in home design.?

A recent study by the American Institute of Architects noted that ?the size and number of bathrooms are increasing in U.S. homes,? and that ?with more space, bathrooms likewise have more features and typically include more upscale products.?

The Champion Suite Retreat Bath is no exception. Twice as large as most bathrooms, the Suite Retreat offers the ultimate in luxury by including details and materials normally found in only the most expensive and upscale homes. An abundance of natural light illuminates the space through the sizeable, plantation-shuttered windows where a large soaking tub and designer ceramic ledge pampers the bather. The oversized, glass-surround ceramic shower, full-length seat, and luxurious rainforest style shower head provide relaxing functionality while an electric fireplace sets the mood or heats the space on chilly mornings. A ?his and hers? furniture-style, double sink vanity with many doors and drawers for storage, includes a convenient waste-bin. A unique separate wall niche can be used for a TV and DVD player or a memorable display. Use of glass, ceramic, brushed nickel and wood ? another new bathroom trend of mixing materials ? complete the cutting edge design and confirm the spa-like look and feel of the space.

The Suite retreat was previewed by retailers at a number of Champion's production facilities this past fall. ?Champion did a fantastic job with the Suite Retreat,? said Curtis Armstrong, Jr., general manager of Armstrong Mobile and Modular Homes Sales in Temple, PA. ?It will help sell homes for us because it's so luxurious, and because it's not a bath one expects in a factory-built home. I had been working with a couple for almost a year, and once they walked into a home with the Suite Retreat, they were sold?on the spot.?

?We love so many things about our new Redman home (a Champion family homebuilder), but the tipping point for us was the Suite Retreat,? said Shirley Gordon, of her and her husband Bob's new home. ?Curtis invited us to visit the Redman manufacturing facility in Ephrata, PA. We walked in a home with the Suite Retreat and just went ?Wow!' I mean who wouldn't want this??

To assist participating CHC retailers market the Suite Retreat, Champion is providing extensive and comprehensive sales materials and marketing support. ?Our CHC retailers are some of the most experienced and knowledgeable in the industry,? said Grover Tarlton. ?They have done a great job with the Ultimate Kitchen promotion, selling over 6,500 homes so far. We believe they will set even higher sales records with the Suite Retreat.
